SSI upgrade
Glenn Sager
Hi Jim, in addition to the 2 heat exchangers, you will also need to change 2 oil lines. One of them is item # C-107-729-10 for $104.95 and the other is item# C-107-739-10 for $81.50. I would also suggest replacing the gaskets where the SSI will bolt to the head. It is item#H-111-191-13 and they are $7.75 each. They are made of stainless steel and you'll need 6 of them. Next, you'll need the 2 muffler gaskets; item# A-111-193-00 for $4.75 each. If you want to renew the hardware that holds the SSI's to the head, the barrel nuts are item# K-085-001-02 for $1.90 each and the regular lock nuts are item#J-910-097-02 for $1.50 each. You will need 6 of each if you decide to change all 12 of them out. As for a muffler, you will need to decide what your budget is. For the money though, I like the OEM style ANSA/Dansk muffler for $294.90. It''s item# C-111-025-01-DSK. The exact same muffler in stainless is available for about another $400. Feel free to contact me again if you should have any further questions. I would be happy to put this order together for you if you decide to go with it. I used to work in a Porsche repair shop and we did this upgrade for a customer. We dyno'd his car before and after the exhaust upgrade and he gained 27 rear wheel horsepower! It's about the best improvement you can make to your car for the money.
